Day 2: Road to Innsbruck-Land
From the Heart of Prague to the Austrian Alps
After an unforgettable opening day in Prague, it was time to leave the Czech capital behind and officially start the Runball Rally 2026 experience. The morning began at the beautiful hotel in Prague’s historic Malá Strana district, where our Runballers woke up surrounded by centuries of history in a former 14th-century monastery. After a relaxed breakfast, everyone gathered for the morning Team Drivers and Safety Briefing.
With the final instructions delivered and the teams ready, it was finally time to start our engines.
The Official Start of Runball Rally 2026
The official start took place in the heart of Prague. One by one, the Runball cars left the city centre and began their journey towards Austria. The atmosphere was electric as the convoy made its way out of Prague. After months of preparation and anticipation, Runball Rally 2026 was finally on the road. Day 2 would take the teams from the Czech Republic into Austria, with Innsbruck-Land as the destination.
From Highways to Mountain Passes
The route offered a fantastic mix of driving. The first part of the journey allowed the teams to cover distance efficiently on the highway before the roads gradually became more exciting. As the teams moved deeper into Austria, the scenery changed completely. Highways gave way to winding roads, mountain passes and breathtaking Alpine landscapes. For the Runballers, this was where the real driving experience began. Long sweeping corners, elevation changes and spectacular views made the journey as memorable as the destination itself.
Welcome to Austria
After a full day on the road, the teams arrived at their first destination in Austria, a prestigious five-star superior hotel in the Innsbruck-Land region. After hours behind the wheel, it was time to relax and enjoy some well-deserved hospitality.
Waiting for the Runballers in the hotel lobby was the Runball Concierge team, ready to welcome every team back from the road. A cold beer or a glass of Cava, accompanied by a sweet treat, was waiting for the drivers as they arrived. It was a simple but much appreciated moment to unwind, share stories from the road and celebrate making it to Austria.
Dinner, Stories and Plenty of Laughter
The evening continued with an exceptional dinner at the hotel. After a day filled with driving, mountain roads and new experiences, everyone gathered around the table to enjoy a well-deserved meal. The relaxed atmosphere quickly turned into an evening of stories and laughter. Teams compared their favourite parts of the route, talked about the day’s highlights and looked ahead to what was waiting for them on the following day.
Later in the evening, many of the Runballers continued the night at the hotel bar, where the conversations and laughter carried on well into the evening.
The Journey Has Only Just Begun
Day 2 was the moment Runball Rally 2026 truly came alive. From the historic streets of Prague to the spectacular mountain roads of Austria, the teams experienced the perfect combination of driving, scenery, luxury and friendship.
And with the Alps now surrounding the convoy, this was only the beginning of the adventure.
